Building a new tab Chrome Extension for taking notes.

Hey!

Firstly hello & welcome to any new subscribers! - This week I published the first 2 parts of a new Chrome Extension series on YouTube inspired by Notion.

The series will cover all the steps needed to make a Chrome Extension that will appear whenever you open a new tab. You can then see a list of notes you can open to view or edit.

In part one below, we cover registering our Firebase app for our database & then creating all of the files we will be using.

In part two, we build out the UI elements required along with some basic styling before connecting up our Emoji picker.

I’ll be adding new parts to the series every few days - If you have any suggestions for features to add to the extension just reply to this or leave a comment!
