New project idea + JS function over page loads
Hello! It’s been a while since the last newsletter but I want to make sure these emails only go out when there is new & useful content to share. 😄
I have a question for you regarding some possible new projects to share on my YouTube channel (more on that below).
First, JavaScript & specifically functions. In a recent video we look at how you can run a function across multiple page loads, which could be useful to scrape page content, compare prices or compare & apply coupon codes to a basket and find the best deal among other things... (The source code of the video is shared in the description)
One of the best ways to learn to code is to work on projects, so one thing I’d like to add to the channel is more projects you can create whilst watching a series of videos. Below are some ideas I have in mind, if any sound interesting please reply to this email & let me know!
Challenge - 5 Chrome Extension MVPs in 5 hours
Series - Building a Cricket (Sport) Simulation Game (More info in the video below)
Series - Build a new tab notes extension (This series has already been started should more videos be made on this)
How I built - Videos showing new apps/products & how they were built similar to this.
Other ideas - Any challenges or projects you’d like to see me build let me know?
As mentioned above, I recently found an old Cricket Simulation project I was working on in 2010, should I update and release it? You can find out more about this in the video below.
Thanks for reading!
Best,
Rusty
